Vidaamuyarchi marks Ajith Kumars 62nd film, although it was not originally planned as such. Initially, a project with director Vignesh Shivan was to be 62. Film, but after it was not, Vidaamuyarchi was developed with a new script. The film was officially announced in May 2023.
Vidaamuyarchi, a company with a large budget, was mainly shot in Azerbaijan, with some parts being shot in Thailand. The story is inspired by the 1997 Hollywood film.

Plot
The protagonist and his wife separate. They met for the first time during a road trip, and now they ironically separate from another, this time to their parents, where he wants to give them up after recognizing that they were divorced and unfaithful. During the trip, however, she is kidnapped by a mysterious group and forces him to save her to save her.

Vidaamuyarchi will premiere on March 3, 2025. Together with the original Tamil version, the film will also be available in Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.
