Eminem was born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri, as Marshall Bruce Mathers III. He spent his youth moving with his single mother in Missouri before setting up in Warren, Michigan. Before they divorced, his parents Marshall Sr. and Deborah “Debbie” Rae Nelson were actually in a band named Daddy Warbucks, who mainly appeared in Ramada Inns in the middle west.

After the divorce, Debbie and Marshall brought back and forth between Michigan and Missouri and never stayed in one place for more than a year and mainly lived with family members. As a child, Marshall was a loner who was often bullied at school. In his teenagers, they lived in a predominantly black quarter of Detroit.

Eminem initially dreamed of being a comic artist, but that changed from the soundtrack to the film “Breakin ‘” after he had belonged to his first rap song, Reckless-Mit Ice-T. The album was a gift from his half -brother Ronnie.

At 14 he accepted the rap person “M & M” (based on his initials). At the age of 17 he broke off the high school. He worked a number of strange jobs while he wrote songs and took part in freestyle rap battles in the city.

Marshall finally made a name for himself in the Detroit hip-hop scene. He became part of a group called Bassmint Productions, which later changed their name in the intention of soul. While he was working as a cook and dishwasher a minimum wage job, he recorded tracks with Mashin ‘Duck Records and FBT productions. In 1996 he dropped his first album “Infinite” through a label called Web Entertainment.

At this time he also created his darker, more violent person, who is known as “slimmer shady”. As a slimmer attack, he accepted topics such as drugs, sex, violence and murder in his rapeseed. Meeting Dr. Dre

In March 1998, Eminem received a shout-out in the signless hype department of the source magazine. Shortly afterwards he found himself out of his place and decided to go to Los Angeles to take part in the rap Olympic Games. In the end he grabbed second place, but the real victory was that an employee of Interscope Records was impressed and the slim, shady EP overtook to CEO Jimmy Iovine.

Jimmy then played the album for Dr. Dre, who had just started his own label Aftermath Records and was a fresh talent. Dre later shared his first thoughts on Eminem’s demo as follows:

“I said: What the hell!? And who is the hell? In my entire career in the music industry, I have never found anything from a demo band or a CD. When Jimmy played it, I said: ‘ . ‘”

Eminem was discovered and quickly made a contract with Aftermath Entertainment to revise and improve the slim, shady EP. Dre entered the producer.

The album immediately took off commercially and critically. It was certified in the USA with the 4 -fold platinum and has grabbed a grammy for the best rap album.

Eminem converted this place into a high -security fortress with electrical fences and wax cabins, which were occupied around the clock with armed security. The entire neighborhood is also closed and has additional security. Funny enough, Eminem hardly spent time there.
