Loved Adolescence? This Lesser-Known Israeli Series On Netflix Might Be Your Next Favourite

If you are a die -hard cinephile and consume a lot of content via OTT, the chances that you have already seen the immensely popular British psychological dramie series youth. And if you have loved the hard -beating show, this less well -known, but celebrated by the criticism, could become your next favorite show via Netflix.

What is the youth about?

The series revolves around a 13-year-old boy, Jamie Miller (played by Owen Cooper), who is arrested on a schoolmate for murder. What follows is a number of intensive surveys of the bulls and a forensic psychologist and a strange attempt to understand what led to the terrible act of violence. The show also focuses on how Jamie’s family deals with the immense pressure and the examination after his arrest. Adolescence received enthusiastic reviews from critics and audiences all over the world. It has a brilliant score of 99% critics in rotting tomatoes and streams on Netflix.

The Israeli series on Netflix that is worth checking

The less well -known, but celebrated by the criticism in Netflix, about which we are talking about, is the award -winning Israeli series Bad Boy. The story begins with a series of police officers who entered the home of a single mother of two children in the early morning and arrested the older son who is brought to the police station. Sounds familiar, right? Despite the obvious similarity, Bad Boy has shown a completely different plot, attitude and characters than in youth.

Inspired by true events, the eighth episode series Bad Boy follows the story of a today’s comedian, Daniel Chen, who tells his early day when he was a disturbed teenager called Dean (played by Guy Manster) and how he survived his time in a brutal juvenile warning center because of his joke. In the detention center, friends with a mysterious fellow prisoner, Zoro, who is considered a psychopath by others.

Some critics have described Bad Boy as even more terrible and braver than the youth (but not necessarily better). At the moment, the series in Rotten tomatoes has not even received a proper score of the critics. But if you have loved the adolescence and want to watch a similarly thematic show about a troubled teenager, then it may be a Bad Boy on Netflix. Who knows that it could even become your next favorite show in Netflix.
